Sunday Sparkle: 29th April

I Love…

1. Makeup Trials and learning new tips from the wedding M.U.A. We bridesmaids are going to be rocking a bronze smokey eye that will look hot with our Grecian inspired dresses. I just hope all goes to plan for my gorgeous cousin the Bride-To-Be!
2. That it is almost May…besides The Wedding this weekend, May is looking to be a nice, quiet and relaxed month, which is seriously awesome because I feel like I have not had a chance to stop and breathe since January.
3. My skin…It is finally looking good. It is nice and hydrated and the redness seems to be calming down.
4. Coming home from a long day at work, putting on my pajamas, having a hot cup of Milo and cuddling with my puppy Gypsy.
5. Florence + The Machine…I can not stop listening to Florence + The Machine…in the car, on my iPod before bed, iPod dock in my office. I just love the music.

Currently…

Reading: Dead As A Doornail…book 5 in the Sookie Stackhouse series…I need to do something to keep me sane until I get to see more of this guy…

Watching: Titanic in 3D…Despite my previous avoidance thinking 3D would ruin it I was pleasantly surprised, though I do prefer 2D. Years later this movie still gives me goosebumps, makes me cry and I still want to look like Kate as Rose &  I still adore Leo.

Eating: Way too many KFC Twisters than me or my personal trainer would like at the moment and not enough sushi. Plus my SIL made a damn good batch of choc fudge that I indulged in waaaayyyy too much. I need to get back into my healthy eating routine stat!

Drinking: Infused flavoured vodkas from Naked For Satan…Loved the Cherry Ripe, Opium Rose and Strawberry and Mint flavours….also loving lychee iced tea in a can you get in the Asian section of the supermarket. Yummy!

Wearing: The new green dress with black spots from Cotton On with my owl necklace from Diva over leggings with my Dianna Ferrari Rockstar Booties!

Loathing: Breaking nails, especially when I’ve been taking care of them so much for the wedding. How do all those nail polish bloggers keep their nails looking so darling?

Sunday Sparkle: 22nd April

I Love…

1. Hen’s weekends in Melbourne city…Cocktails…Dumplings…Big breakfasts, Makeovers, shopping sprees and hotel beds.
2. Bridesmaid duty…the ultimate bit of girly fun…dress fittings, shoe shopping, planning dinners, kitchen tea parties, hen’s nights…all this and the official day isn’t even here yet! Only 2 more weeks to go though…getting so excited!
3. Random weeknight dinners that turn into wild and crazy nights on the town (even if they do cause self inflicted severe laryngitis)
4. False lashes…why oh why was I avoiding these? They make my eyes just POP! Now I just need to work out how to apply them myself!
5. Shopping…and for a girl who has never liked shopping that’s a good thing. I couldn’t resist a top (probably because it was a medium) today, a chocolate scarf and a cute little black beret.

Currently…

Reading: Would you believe I still have not finished The Hunger Games? Reading has just not been a priority for me at the moment, but am hoping to find some time for reading soon!

Watching: The Lucky One…shame about the lead actress being so blah, but on another note, who knew that Zac Efron could actually act…Damn he is looking hot and he has the sweetest tattoo in the movie!

Also really loving and getting into The Voice…how amazing is the talent? and who didn’t get goosebumps the moment the blind girl sang La Vie En Rose…Sorry, cant get the video to work

Eating: Dumplings…nothing like a good dumpling darling! In Melbourne try out Empress of China in Chinatown. Fried Beef dumplings were the bomb…Oh and whoever invented Turkish Delight Tim Tams is a God!

Drinking: Why…cocktails of course honey! Best cocktail in Melbourne is the Red Velvet at the long room, and I have recently discovered that I love Skittlebombs a lot more than Jägerbomb!

Wearing: Heels…last weekend was all about the heels! And the cute new clutch I bought as well as my new makeup buys. Oh and I’m wearing the cutest Shellac colour on my nails. It’s a gorgeous nude with a vibrant green shimmer called ‘iced coral’. Love it! and my nails look similar to this…

Loathing: Being sick…Severe case of laryngitis and an infection in my vocal region means I am on antibiotics and doctors orders to rest my voice. Being unable to speak sucks Being in pain every time you swallow sucks even more.

Sunday Sparkle: The EASTER Edition 7th April

Isn’t she beautiful?

I Love…

1. That awesome feeling when you have finished a product! Spent the afternoon transferring my almost finished products into smaller handbag friendly bottles. My shower caddy, bathroom cabinet and dressing table are less cluttered and so much prettier now!
2. Long weekends…Time spend catching up with friends and family, relaxing, reading, baking, watching dvds and taking it easy!
3. Discovering that I now fit into hoodies and t-shirts 4 sizes smaller than the ones I wore 2 years ago. It is nice that all the reasons for my weight are now just excuses and all the barriers are just falling away. I have finally realised that all the limits to being the best version of myself weren’t really limits at all, just opportunities to do it better.
4. The countdown to my cousin’s wedding. Only 4ish weeks to go! I can’t wait to be there for her and help her to have the most amazing day because she is going to be the most beautiful bride in the world.
5. Planning outfits for the Hen’s Weekend next weekend. A whole weekend of dinners, drinks, karaoke, bars and hotels in Melbourne city…it it going to be a little wild, a little crazy and a ton of awesome!

Currently…

Reading: The Hunger Games…Still! and a whole pile of magazines just waiting for me to get to them…Women’s Health, Harper’s and Cosmo.

Watching: The entire season 8 of One Tree Hill. Man I love this show. It has the most amazing team of writers. Such beautiful words in each episode.

Eating: Froots…my new obsession Chocolate covered blueberries and they’re divine!

Drinking: Milk…I seem to be obsessed with the stuff lately. Straight up…sans chocolate.

Wearing: My comfy casuals….it is a loooong weekend after all!

Loathing: Sleeping alone…must fix that!

Sunday Sparkle: 1st April

I Love…

1. GYPSY…I know she has been top of the list for a few weeks running, but who could deny she is the cutest puppy in the world right now? (Even if she did jut bite my toe and draw blood!)

1. Lazy weekends…This one consisted of watching a movie and having lunch with a friend, tidying up the clutter that is my bedroom, packing a box up for a blog swap with a new Canadian friend, reading mags and pampering myself with a home pedicure and facial.
2. My new Avalon Organics Shampoo & Conditioner (review coming soon) and the fact that my fine, thin hair finally has some volume and thickening going on.
3. Training like a bitch to loose a few extra kilos before bridesmaid duty begins and finally seeing my hard work paying off with results!
4. Still adoring my new Christian Audiglier handbag…bought for an absolute steal under $50 from OzSale. It fits EVERYTHING! Currently holding my Filofax, keys, sunglasses, makeup bag, purse, mirror, reading novel and it’s not even close to halfway full!
   

Currently…

Reading: The Hunger Games…I cheated and watched the movie first, but it left out so much detail that I still want to finish reading. Plus I have an enormous pile of magazines to flick through.

Watching: The Hunger Games…watched it yesterday and it was quite good….looking forward to Snow White and The Huntsman next, as well as the Avengers and American Pie Reunion.

Eating: Obsessing over chicken wraps with mayo and sweet chilli at the moment…can’t seem to get enough of them!

Drinking: Lots of water and the occasional Coke Zero.

Wearing: My new pajamas….they’re super cute and very warm, now the nights are getting cooler.

Loathing: The length of both my nails and hair…and that my feet are dry and crackly… In need of a good hairdresser and manicurist! Any recommendations?

Sunday Sparkle: 25th March

I Love…

1. GYPSY and the fact that she lights up when I want though the door and adores all the cute toys I bring her! Spoilt rotten! I went and enrolled her in Puppy Pre-School and Puppy Kindergarden today…is this what having children feels like? Crazy! Bonus would be if there was a cute single puppy owner to mingle with.
2. All the preparations for my cousin’s wedding. The Kitchen Tea today is planned for this afternoon and will be lovely…. I have some cute games planned, yummy food and I will get to spend time with family I haven’t seen in ages!
3. My hot pink with purple pearl Shellac nails. These brights are just what I need to cheer me up when the days are getting darker and more wintery. Hopefully they will help my nails to grow and stay gorgeous too!
4. That my favourite lipstick is now back in my collection thanks to the lovely Napoleon Perdis himself! ‘Artemis’ I have missed you!
5. My new Christian Audiglier handbag…bought for an absolute steal under $50 from OzSale. What do you think? It is my first genuine designer handbag… TGI’s could start a dangerous shopping trend!

Currently…

Reading: The Hunger Games…I like to read the book before the movie version, but I have been hearing the movie version is awesome!

Watching: 21 Jump Street…was good to see a fun comedy/action with my big bro. Channing Tatum is still gorgeous and I don’t think I have laughed so much in forever. Plus a surprise cameo by a certain aging hottie was awesome!

Eating: Mum’s baked rock cakes and choc pudding…Too good to refuse! Must kick that diet into action next week!

Drinking: Water, water and more water. Feeling better for it too. Though I did sneak a Vanilla coke in yesterday.

Wearing: My favourite oversized Puma hoodie and its so snug and warm now that the weather is cooling.

Loathing: That my nails and hair are not growing as fast as I would like…I want my hair to be long and gorgeous for my cousins wedding…it looks like it will be neither! also loathing not having someone special to cuddle up to lately.

Sunday Sparkle: 18th March

I Love…

1. GYPSY! I picked her up yesterday and all she has done is eat, sleep, play and chew on Jax’s tail! She is an angel when asleep and a demon when awake, but she is all mine and I’m so happy! Even if I am such an anxious puppy mummy!
2. My hair…it’s looking healthier, shinier and fuller since using a new brand of shampoo and conditioner. I’ll post a review soon!
3. Reading for pleasure…Up to book four in the Southern Vampire mysteries and soon to start The Hunger Games since everyone is raving about it.
4. Enjoying my sessions at the gym more and more…I love the feeling of clothes that are starting to feel loose and flowy where they used to fit snuggly.
5. Family lunch at the restaurant my brother had his wedding in. Was nice to actually taste the food and enjoy the day, unlike the wedding day when all I could focus on was the butterflies in my tummy and worrying about everything running smoothly.

Currently…

Reading: Dead to the world…otherwise known as Sookie and Eric get it on.

Watching: Looking forward to going and seeing Safe House in Gold Class on Monday night, because who doesn’t love Gold Class! and looking forward to seeing The Hunger Games soon too!

Eating: Had the most amazing gnocchi at a new restaurant that opened up in town. It was delightful. Am back to enjoying pasta in moderation and lordy have I missed it. I wonder if I could make a good home made gnocci…I managed to make an awesome lasagne on Labour Day and some pretty mean choc chip brownies!

Drinking: Milk…in crazy quantities…Low fat and plain. Why am I craving so much milk?

Wearing:  The silver bird pendant is still in high rotation, but am mixing things up in the jeans department. Need to find a delightful dress for my cousin’s Kitchen Tea before next weekend though!

Loathing: That my nails and hair are not growing as fast as I would like…I want my hair to be long and gorgeous for my cousins wedding…it looks like it will be neither!

I Love…

1. My postman! Packages arriving everyday including this Haul from Beauty Bay plus great reads from Bookdepository and eagerly awaiting my Christian Audigier designer bag purchased from OzSale which was a bargain at under $50.
2. Goodies from Illamasqua…so much I devoted an entire week to them… Illamasqua Week: Skin Base Foundation, Pure Pigment, Cream Blusher, Masquara, Lipstick, Sheer & Intense Lipgloss.
3. Long weekends, planning blog posts, watching The Lion King and relaxing.
4. Getting good results at the gym… 1kg lost, 10cm off my tummy, 5kg off my hips and a few more off my legs and arms.
5. My new jeans…the sales girl was right…but them a size or two smaller and they stretch to fit your body….genius! They are a perfect fit, but not sure I’ll store them in the freezer like she suggested…That’s kind of strange! The things we ladies do for fashion!

Reading: The entire Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mysteries collection….This could take me awhile!

Watching: Strangely enough haven’t seen a movie this week, Grey’s Anatomy is getting boring and about the only thing I am enjoying is Revenge. Though I did adore watching The Lion King which was on TV last night.

Eating: I am loving my favourite salad for lunch…I take it to work at least once a week. I know you want to know the recipe…Simple, beetroot slaw mix, baby spinach, cubed avocado, boiled eggs, smoked chicken breast, corn, mushroom, alfalfa sprouts and mango chilli dressing. YUM!

Drinking: Diet Vanilla Coke Zero, Caramel Latte’s and flavoured water….mmm

Wearing: New skinny jeans, red Mix cardigan and black bird tiered singlet and my new silver bird pendant.

Loathing: That I dropped and ruined my favourite Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess Limited Edition Lipstick in ‘Artemis’ but super happy Napoleon Perdis himself tweeted me to let me know he might be able to help What a guy!

4. The gorgeous Lisa Pollock journal I picked out today while browsing by the bay.
5. A quiet Sunday night at home doing my nails and putting on a face and hair mask.

Reading: Healthy Food Magazine, trying to get some ideas for healthy work lunches.

Watching: This Means War…I was kind of so-so about seeing, but am so glad I did because a laugh was just what I needed and I laughed so much during that movie that my belly hurt afterwards. The two male leads are yummy…Tom Hardy is gorgeous and that accent is delicious. As for Reece Witherspoon….my new wish is to have a body just like hers….Stunning!

Eating: The best vegie scramble for breakfast this morning! Delicious!

Drinking: Vanilla Coke Zero….mmm

Wearing: My new tiered bird print black singlet and my new skinny jeans.

Loathing: That Sephora don’t ship to Australia….when will these guys get the message….Aussies love Sephora!

I Love…

1. Lazy weekends spent doing nothing work related at all!
2. Updates from the breeder about my girl Gypsy….can’t wait to have her home with me.
3. Reading everyone’s reveals for the Valentine’s Beauty Blog Swap.
4. That my Shellac nails have lasted over a week…lets see if they can make it to three.
5. Reading for pleasure…I have missed getting lost in a good book.

Currently…

Reading: Club Dead by Charlaine Harris…almost finished and I can move on to the fourth book where Sookie hooks up with Eric.

Watching: Killer Elite….was quite a good movie and was fun spotting all the locations in Melbourne that they tried to pass off as Paris like Flagstaff station and Flinder’s Lane.

Eating: Home cooked food that only tastes great when my Mum makes it and the craving Mars pods. Mmm!

Drinking: Peach and Mango Nutrient Water. Very refreshing and low calories.

Wearing: Crystals on a pendant…Clear Quartz at the moment.

Loathing: This heat. Way too hot to do anything productive!

Sunday Sparkle: 19th February

I Love…

1. My weekend…road tripping on Saturday to go and visit my new puppy, getting my nails Shellac-ed today, buying some new threads now I’m down a dress size (almost two) and movies tonight!
2. Treating Mum to the movies to see a chick flick!
3. Magazine freebies…ModelCo eye shadow trio with OK! And a Mirenesse Curl Mascara with Women’s Day!
4. Work…my new role requires longer hours, is busy and at times can be frantic and intense but it’s always challenging, hugely rewarding and satisfying.
5. All the gorgeous goodies I received from Sasha for the Valentine’s blog swap. Cant wait to try them all out!

Currently…

Reading: Club Dead by Charlaine Harris and all the magazines I bought today!

Watching: Revenge….so awesome. Looking forward to Once Upon A Time and of course The Vow…Channing Tatum…Yummy!

Eating: My favourite Foccacia planned for lunch tomorrow. Roasted Turkey, cranberry, roasted pumpkin, baby spinach, mushrooms and capsicum. Delicious. Need to get back to some serious healthy eating since I consumed way too much chocolate last week!

Drinking: Still a lot of water and a morning caramel skinny latte.

Wearing: The gorgeous handmade earrings Sasha sent me!

Loathing: My car…thinking it might be time for a new one.
