The great thing about a good makeup kit is that it is perfect for travel, the office of just to keep somewhere for when you need a whole face in a bag, so when I was offered the opportunity to review the “C´est le ton qui fait la musique” limited edition kit I literally jumped at the chance.
The first thing one notices is the beauty and class in the packaging. Simple, elegant and black with a large mirror make this perfect for the office, handbag or anywhere else, because it doesn’t scream ‘look at me I’m a makeup kit.’
Inside a treasure trove of richly pigmented shadows awaits. A little of these babies goes a long way and suffice to say, less is more. The stand out shades for me are ‘spicy’ ‘vivacious’ and ‘liberating’. The rustic burnt orange that is ‘spicy’ just has to be tried to be believed.
The blush in ‘devoted’ is also a darling colour that makes me feel super girly and the apple pie flavoured Je t´aime’ lip gloss is a nice my lips but better shade. The only problems I find with the kit is that the lip gloss is a tad too sticky and that no brushes or tools are supplied to play with the goodies.
