So what’s inside?

  • U Little Beauty Natural Shine Hair Serum RRP $19.95 AUD (100ml)
  • Yes To Carrots Lip Tint RRP $9.95 AUD for 2.6gms
  • Bellamer Eye Balm RRP $40.00  AUD for 15g
  • Eye Lift RRP $29.00 AUD for 15 pots
  • Pure Fiji Coconut Hydrating Body Lotion RRP $29.95 AUD for 354ml
  • Carmans Rounds – Classic Fruit & Nuts Muesli Biscuit

The GOOD:

2 full size products and a decent sample of the Fiji Lotion…I love that they have included a natural Australian hair product, even though I got the mask when my card said serum.

The BAD:

I don’t like the eye lift and eye balm sample…I don’t like trying new things on my eyes and I’ve heard nothing at all of the brand until today…and food as a bonus…that’s just weird!

What did you think of this months Lust Have It box?

Embracing Nature with The January Bellabox!

20 Jan box

Most of you who have been following my updates know I have had a love and hate relationship with Bellabox. So the January box being my third Bellabox has been the decider for me. When it arrived, I was a tad disappointed because I was missing two of the products listed on the info card so I whinged… vented on Twitter and I have to say, I am impressed with the customer service of the Bellabox team who asked me to email them. This is what my Bellabox looked like when it first arrived.

The girls at Bellabox were lovely and thorough and within half an hour the problem was solved. The missing items were in the post and on the way to me. So, today it was with a squeal of delight that I opened the package from Bellabox and here’s what was inside.

The missing La Perla scents, Sparoma product and the girls were even kind enough to send me a lip balm in a different scent, since I wasn’t such a fan of Lavender on my lips. So impressed with the service!

The Good

I am super excited about the fullsize Puretopia Nourish & Repair Firming & Soothing Hand Cream RRP $9.95 AUD (75ml) and the Pangea Organics- Lip Balm in Egyptian Fennel with Grapefruit and Sweet Orange RRP $17.95 AUD (7gm). I am so glad they replaced the original one I received which I will probably gift to my Mum. I wasn’t keen on trying the Pyrenees Lavender with Cardamom. I also love that these are bigger than your average lip balm and look like they will last forever in my handbag.

I am also happy about the Soleo Organics sunscreen sample RRP $24.95 AUD (80g) because I am on the hunt for a good natural sunscreen and this looks like it might fit the since it contains no chemical UV absorbers, No titanium dioxide and No Synthetic preservatives.

I can’t wait to test out the La Perla fragrances RRP $79 AUD (50ml) I have heard good things about them and am hoping they will come in handy for date night.

I am also very pleased with the Sparoma Organic Roll On Pulse Point Aroma in Lavender RRP $19.95 AUD (15ml) as while I am not a fan of it on my lips Lavender is a great way to relax and soothe my migraines and this will be a handbag staple for me, I just know it.

I’m not quite sure what to do with the Herbal Essentials Orange Towlette RRP $17.50 AUD (Pk20) but it smells pleasant enough and I am sure it will come in handy.

The Bad

I am not a huge fan of the sachets because they never give you enough product to adequately test out and see it they work with your individual skin. So while I like the idea of the First Aid Beauty- Ultra Repair Cream- $14.95 (70g)- i’m not a huge fan of the small sample size. I’m also not a huge tea drinker and not really sure the Qi Tea- Detox Green Tea and Ginkgo Green Tea- RRP $4.75 AUD (Pk25) are a great addition in my beauty box. I can’t help feeling they took the place of a skincare or makeup sample.

My Verdict!

So…I’m convinced to give Bellabox another go. I mean sure, they have copped some negative reviews, I even wrote one but lets think about this for a minute. We, the consumers pay $15 a month for this service and Bellabox hunt around for product samples for us, package them up beautifully and send them via courier.

The process alone is costly so I am going to stick with them as long as they continue to provide quality service, good products and value for money, which I think the January box provides.

Did you know 2012 is The Chinese Year of the Dragon? Lucy from Bellabox has some great facts and hints about how you can Let Your Inner Dragon Flame. Looks like I am going to embrace my red lipstick again!

December Bellabox has arrived!

13 Dec decbellabox1

After the disappointment that was November Bellabox I am happy to say I am most pleasantly surprised with the December box. It would seem Bellabox has truly arrived…Bellabox invites us to Party in Style and with the goodies in this months package i’ll be sure to do just that!

Awaiting me today was December’s Bellabox with what seems like 4 full-size products. If not full size they are most definitely sizable.

The first thing I am super excited about is Ozotic Elytra #530. 15mls RRP AUD $14.95 It is a gorgeous multi-sparkle nail colour that is going to look amazing on my nails this party season. So exciting!

Secondly, what’s not to love about lashes? Am looking forward to trying out my first, yest that’s right first pair of falsies thanks to the inclusion of the Eylure Naturalite Intense Lash RRP AUD $11.95. Now I just need someone (i.e. youtube) to teach me how and voila sexy summer lashes!

Next up is the fullsize Savoir Faire Concealer Pack RRP AUD $35…2x Concealer shades + a powder equals double the fun to play with. You guys know how excited I am about Savoir Faire, I reviewed their limited edition kit yesterday.

Of equal excitment is the Kosmea Rosewater Spray RRP AUD $11.95 which I think is much better than the dry shampoo a lot of people got in their boxes. This will be a great way to refresh my skin in this warmer weather. It might just tempt me to try out the rest of their range.

Finally there is also a small sample of the Elemis Pro Collagen Quartz Mask RRP AUD $117 which I wouldn’t have the opportunity to try if it wasn’t in there too but is quite frankly lost with all the other awesome booty!

So Bellabox in my humble opinion has finally arrived….What do you think of the December box?

Bellabox…What I Really Think

17 Nov bellaboxNOV

I really wanted to like Bellabox. Of all of the subscriber beauty boxes on the market it was Bellabox that drew me in and I signed up to the others as a bit of an afterthought. Their first box was heavily promoted on the social webs and contained gems such as a full size Savoir Faire luxe lippy, Akin and Napoleon Perdis goodies. So I was so excited to receive my email today informing me that the box had been delivered.

Unfortunately that is where the excitement ends. I could talk this up a little and say well it is only $14.95 after all and I know people are going to say what do you expect for that price but I pledged that I would be honest with you all and honestly… the November box was awful.

Yes, it’s only $14.95 but I expect quality, I expect a company who fights to keep their subscribers happy and I expect a better level of quality samples for subscribers, especially when the same company goes nuts on self promotion by giving away the freebie gift bags to racegoers for the Melbourne Spring racing Carnival that  sounded much better that my awful blue November box, but in fairness I did not get my hands on one to review fully and compare.

So, what was inside…

  • a teeny tiny Lancome Visionnaire sample
  • 3 baby size sachets of a random Korean BB cream, eye cream and elixir (on my info sheet it lists 4….but I only got three)
  • Gatineau Melato Force Collagene
  • OCC Lip Tar (Mine was a disgusting orangey coral nude…did not match my skin tone at all, so the survey component of the signup process is pointless. I looked like a coral corpse!)
  • Orofluido

The absolute biggest insult to injury a supposedly ‘innovative‘ Twistband hair tie described as chic. How is a hair tie that looks like it was home made by a four year old in kinda craft innovative…This is not chic it is cheap!

FYI there was only 1 black twistband tie in the box…I managed to grab this image via google search.

So there you have it…my real review of Bellabox!
