I have decided to share my favourite everyday lipstick with you all today, but first I want to tell you why. Way before I decided to begin Beast & Beauty I was just another girl in the twitterverse. After reading some of my favourite blogger’s reviews of Ciccone Cosmetics I just knew I had to try them for myself. So I took a chance and contacted them via Twitter and the amazing peeps from Ciccone took pity on poor blogless me and sent me some anyway.
When I started Beast & Beauty and told them about it they were also the first people to shout it out to the world. So besides making my favourite lippy of the moment, their attitude towards beauty babes is gorgeously refreshing.
So without further ado…I present Ciccone Cosmetics in Oceanus, Hera and Voluptas…and my naked lips.
What they say…
“Helen and Frank gave life to Ciccone Cosmetics in 2001. Ten years on, their bright-lipped baby is quickly growing into a boisterous, force-to-be-reckoned-with teen. A lipstick that feels the way a lipstick should feel. Australian made for women who love their lippies!”
What I say…
These lipsticks are not for the faint at heart. Opening up your bright pink and silver sparkly barrel will get you looks on the train. Trust me, I have had these a few months now and three times I have been asked about them.
The barrel is secure unlike some of my other lipsticks so it’s safe to have floating around in my massive handbag. The formula is rick and creamy with great coverage on my lips.

I was afraid of Oceanus when I opened it up. It’s a rich bright coral that I thought would clash horribly with my pale, pink skin tone. It sat unused in my makeup bag for a month at least. But all this spring sunshine has caused me to be just a bit more daring then usual and I have discovered it is not so orange-y on and is a lot more peach like. Great for daytime.

Hera is my favourite of the pack. Hera is a soft rose pink that is quite dusky on my lips. It is one of those goodies that seems to go with most of my outfits and transitions well from day to night.

Voluptas is a look at me statement red. It’s blue based and suits my skin tone perfectly. It is also the most forgiving of my slightly flaky lips. It’s rich even with just one coat, though I find applies better when you use a lip brush.
Would I purchase? In a heartbeat.
Ciccone Cosmetic Lipsticks are available online from their website and RRP is $25 AUD. They are also coming to a Myer store near you soon.
